Master Data Developer
We are looking for a driven and analytical professional to play a key role in developing, structuring, and governing product and supplier data at Ahlsell. You may currently work within product information, business development, analytics, supply chain or a related area. What matters most is your ability to understand complex product and supplier data flows in businesses with large product assortments, multiple systems, and many stakeholders. You are comfortable working with structured data, understanding how different data points connect across processes and systems, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and business value through data. In this role, you will help turn our Master Data strategy into tangible results by leading initiatives that improve data quality, efficiency, and usability across the organization. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business in a Nordic environment.
You will be part of Group Master Data and report to the Head of Master Data Nordic
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects and initiatives related to product and supplier data, from analysis and planning to implementation and delivery
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Ahlsell’s Master Data strategy through continuous improvement and business development initiatives
- Improve and maintain high data quality and support the development of effective data governance frameworks
- Collaborate closely with Procurement, Sales, Logistics, Sustainability, and Digital teams to align data requirements with business needs
- Contribute to harmonized data structures, processes, and ways of working across countries, systems, and business areas
- Support the development of sustainability related data to enable transparency, compliance, and reporting
- Drive and support the use of AI and automation within Master Data in close collaboration with Digital
- Identify opportunities to improve data processes, applications, and workflows, and communicate recommendations to relevant stakeholders
- Document processes and contribute to training, knowledge sharing, and adoption across the organization
- Support the business in using data to generate insights, efficiency, and business value
We believe you have
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience from data driven business environments, for example within product information, supply chain, analytics or business development
- Experience working with product and/or supplier-related data
- Good understanding of ERP systems, PIM/MDM solutions, integrations, and data models
- Experience with data quality, data governance, process improvement, and/or data modelling
- Experience leading projects or cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics in a clear and structured way
- Advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- An academic degree in systems engineering, industrial engineering, data management, business, or a related field
- Fluent English and proficiency in at least one Scandinavian language
- Interest in AI, automation, and data-driven ways of working

About the Role
The position is based at our headquarters in Marievik/Liljeholmen, Stockholm. We apply a hybrid working model with at least three days per week in the office. Some travel within the Nordic region may be required.
